Survey

Thank you for replying to our recent survey. These are the results:

Local Issue                             42%                Council Tax

                                               36%                Crime

National Issue                        34%                 Pensions

                                               29%                 NHS

East Devon                            63%                 Good Value for Money

Devon County                       74%                 Should make savings

Do you want CCTV upgraded ?  We had an equal number of respondents who answered yes and no, although the majority did not wish an increase in Council Tax to pay for it.

The control room of the CCTV has been upgraded to digital this year by bidding for funding from the Safer Devon Partnership and the Community Safety Partnership. The next step is to upgrade the cameras to digital – the current ones are analogue and we need to ensure safety of our residents in and around the Town Centre especially at night.

Conservative East Devon has set its Council Tax budget below the RPI inflation rate at 3.39%. EDDC made very difficult decisions last year and has made NO CUTS this year, unlike the County Council.
